How One Life Can Make all the Difference to So Many!

In the past year I've seen some remarkable things, met some amazing people, and witnessed friends and family members share their love and support in ways I can't even believe.

While my deepest desire is just to have Gabby back....I know that will not happen here on earth.  She touched so many lives during her 8 years on earth and will continue to touch lives for decades to come.

Here is a brief recap of what has been accomplished by so many who have been inspired by one sweet, beautiful girl.

The Gabby Lewis Memorial Library

  • Over $8,000 has been sent to establish the Gabby Lewis Memorial Library through Mayan Families (www.mayanfamilies.org).  The library will be located in Tierra Linda, Guatemala.
  • A portion of the funds received came from Guat families throughout the US who (most of whom) never met our family but presented us with a check for over $2,000.  Thank you Guat Mamas and Papas!
  • Hundreds of children's books have been donated for the library from individuals across the United States including Gabby's church, Fellowship Baptist in Bluff City, TN
  • Two book fundraisers were conducted to raise money and books for the library.

Gabby's Cramazing Race

  • Over $9,000 was raised as part of Team Gabby in the Crazy 8s roadrace in Kingsport, TN.  These fund were sent to El Amor de Patricia (www.theloveofpatricia.org), a loving home for vulnerable children in Guatemala.
  • Donations were received from over 30 corporate sponsors, multiple individual sponsors, online silent auctions, facepainting and merchandise sales on race day, and Gabby's Cramazing Race t-shirts sales.
  • In addition to the 150+ people took part in the race in Kingsport, several individuals ran/walked in 11 different locations across the country including Guatemala, local newspaper articles were published, and TV and radio interviews were conducted.

Mayan Families Clothing/Supplies Drive

The Towne Acres Elementary School Cheerleaders sent 263 pounds of clothing, shoes, toiltries, school supplies, and toys to children in Guatemala.  Gabby loved cheerleading more than anything!  They also dedicated their season to Gabby wearing purple ribbons on their uniform with her name and also cheered at Gabby's Cramazing Race.

    Gabby Lewis Memorial Grant

A grant has recently been established through Affording Adoptions Foundation (www.affordingadoption.com) in Gabby's name to help families financially with adoption related expenses.  This weekend as families gather at MoGuate at Lake Ozark, MO, silent auctions will take place to help fund the first year of the Gabby Lewis Memorial Grant.

So many lives are forever changed, by the LIFE of one incredible little girl!  You will be missed beyond words every second of every day until will see you again thanks to Jesus Christ our Lord!

Adequate words to not exist to express our deep graditude for the love and support you have shown our family!!  You all are simply Cramazing!!!!

Jesus said, Allow little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
    Matthew 19:14
